• Healthy snacks for dogs include asparagus, broccoli, carrots or green beans-frozen or raw-apples, bananas and blueberries. Natural peanut butter, 100% pure canned pumpkin or canned/cooked sweet potatoes-but check all frozen, canned or jar items to make sure they do not contain artificial sweeteners like xylitol. DO NOT give them avocados, mushrooms, apple seeds or any fruit pits, chives, onions, garlic, walnuts or macadamia nuts, yeast dough, grapes, raisins, milk, coffee, alcohol, tea, gum, chocolate or salt.
  • Be sure to only give your cat SAFE toys: feathers, loose eyes, noses, ears or other easily detached items on a toy can come off and become stuck on your cat’s barbed tongue and become ingested so remove them beforehand. Other dangerous items are dental floss, twist ties, hair ties, rubber bands, strings or ribbons which can cause choking or intestinal issues when swallowed and may lead to surgery!
